View in front of first sole purpose Coober Pedy Police Station on Paxton Road The second station was constructed in front of this one, making this the rear section. The fire truck was located at the Station during the period of occupancy by Sgt O'Neill who assisted in the establishment of the Fire Services and was the first training officer. The truck was purchased for $14,000 following a town fund raising event. A portion of school classrooms can be seen to the right of the fire truck.
