“In 1933 a group of men including Len Gardner and Roland Karger set out from Streaky Bay to play cricket matches in Coober Pedy and Kokatha Station. Their trip is recorded in a series of photos Don field had in his album. It is believed the photos were taken by Len Gardner who was a school teacher and is in some of the photos. He was a very good photographer and it appears he allowed people to use his photos. John Gardner shared some of his father’s photos on a facebook page. Robert Monroe used some of the photos in his publication of the Kingoonya District.” – information supplied by Barry Lewis.
This series of photos is from 1930 0098 – 1930 0124
