Robert Harold Roberts ( Bob)
Born 1893, died 1970

Bob Roberts’ 70th birthday with his daughter Lyn Field
Before coming to Coober Pedy, Bob was a gold miner at Glenloth (Tarcoola)
His daughter Lyn, married Don Field. (Fields had shop where Umoona Mine is today, selling opal, Bank of NSW agency, book exchange, clothing)
His headstone was placed in 1990.
He lived in a small dugout, which he sold to Sue Bernard in c.1960. This dugout was later incorporated into Faye’s display dugout, its entrance being the one leading underground from the poolroom.
Following the sale of his dugout, it is believed that he then lived on the north side of the same hill.
